Get to know me

My name is Emily Bojorquez, but you can call me Em! I was born in Los Angeles, California. In 2021, I took the leap and changed careers from Security Guard to Tech!
I am a self-taught User Experience Designer with two years of professional experience. I have a certification in UX Design with the Grow with Google courses and have applied those skills in three projects that have impacted individuals within Los Angeles County, and for employees within the Internal Services Departments.
Off the Clock
When I'm not working, I love to seek new adventures!

I was in a program named Delete the Divide, an initiative led by the County of Los Angeles to empower youth, young adults, and small businesses in underserved communities who are adversely impacted by the digital divide.
As I'm navigating the tech world, I found myself loving UX, never in my life did I think you can mix design with technology, but little did I know that both correlate with one another, and it's all around us. I am fortunate enough to put my new skills to work through my internship. I now have 3 projects, both aiming to help thousands of individuals in Los Angeles County!
I love helping people and want to find ways to create a more inclusive world to bridge those gaps in technology as it advances.
Follow along on my journey as I break into tech!
Yours truly,
Emily Bojorquez
